About the Charleston Relocation Experts TEAM The CRE team is a professional group of full time realtors dedicated to service knowing that your home sale or purchase may be the single biggest investment you´ll make. We are most recently excited about Boeing's announcement to expand their operations here in Charleston. The CRE team is approved as Charleston Boeing Relocation Specialists. The CRE team combines 15 years of real estate experience. While the average agent closes 6-9 transactions a year, since 2004, the CRE team members have helped over 190 families either purchase or sell real estate to meet their needs. The CRE team started out with Michele Reneau who built a successful real estate team to include two other partner agents and a transaction coordinator to facilitate the foundation of marketing, constant learning, and serving that the CRE team foundation was built on. Margaret, Laura and Michele share the Charleston Relocation Experts team´s passion for the Lowcountry and in helping families make good decisions about relocating in, around, or out of the Charleston area. Laura and Chris bought their first home when they were 25 years old. It was a duplex, and they were thrilled because their renters' portion covered their monthly payment. The next property they bought was a great Victorian home, which they lived in for the first few years and then rented out for a few more. Some carpet here, a new kitchen counter top there, different tiles, new trees...just part of the fun of buying, making something better, and then moving on! Laura and Chris's experience with military moves and investing in real estate prepared Laura for a career in real estate. Laura has been a realtor for 5 years, helping families in the Charleston area make smooth transitions in and out of the area. Laura is an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), a Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource Specialist (SFR) and a Certified Staging Professional (CSP) Affliate.

Words from Margaret "I bought my first home at 19 years of age in the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant. I totally renovated that property, sold it, and re-invested in another property in the area. I discovered I had a knack for finding the hidden potential within a property. After several successful real estate transactions, I was asked by friends and family to help them with their real estate needs as they had come to view me as a valuable source of information for the Charleston real estate market. I enjoy listening to my clients´ desires and needs for their future home and relish the challenge of helping them find the perfect fit."
Michele Reneau, Team Leader, Broker Associate, CRS, ABR, GRI Words from Michele: "I purchased my first home when I was 24 years old. I wasn´t pre-approved for much but I just knew I didn´t want to pay rent. I settled on a cottage (translates to very small home) in Park Circle that needed a lot of updating in my eyes. I put down every penny I had for my down payment which meant I had no money for the renovations. It was a fun process as I learned how to become a handywoman and accept all the responsibilities of home ownership. It was such an exciting process and despite not really knowing what I was doing, I enjoyed every minute of it. Over two years, I finished most of the renovations and saved some more money. I decided I was ready to be an investor. I took the plunge on another property not too far from my house. It was move-in ready and tenants were found right away. The process became quite addictive with the highs and lows. At that point, I realized that I had a knack for identifying hidden value in properties and recognized that my deep passion for the American Dream in my life was a passion I held for others as I helped those around me do the same. So with full force, I decided to dive in and get my real estate license and make it a full time career. Since my first investment property, I have been blessed to engage in at least one real estate investment each year for a current total of 9 personal transactions to date. In 2006, I purchased my first multi-family project, one of my most exciting adventures. However, even more exciting for me is to share the adventure and excitement with my clients who decide to pursue the American Dream and allow me to be part of the process. We are deeply grateful for those who have allowed us to become part of their families through the process of buying, selling or investing."
